Meghan Upson '10 knows college can be whatever you make of it. While she's a student here, Upson wants to make something good.
A business administration major, Upson juggles numerous clubs and a variety of interests as a member of the Future Alumni Network, a motorcycle enthusiast collective and the College Republicans. As a freshman, she participated in last year's Alternative Spring Break trip to Maine, where volunteers built a Habitat for Humanity home.
Upson is the lone undergraduate and youngest member on the board of directors for the Oswego Alumni Association, as the student representative for FANs. The organization is dedicated to connecting students with alumni through programs like Alumni Sharing Knowledge and events like this year's inaugural College Colors Day.
Upson said as a student, she enjoys meeting alumni as well as learning and participating in the services available to Oswego graduates.
"You really get to see both sides of the fence," she said.
Upson founded the Oswego State University Motorcycle Club this year. The non-riding club has 10 charter members.
"The purpose of the club is to act as a medium to meet friends who are interested in motorcycles," she said.
