With Oswego State alumni of all ages embracing the growing trend of online networking Web sites such as Facebook and MySpace, the Oswego Alumni Association (OAA) has decided to make its mark on these sites as well.

The OAA has an official MySpace page at www.myspace.com/oswegostatealumni. On Facebook, search “Oswego AlumniAssociation” (alumni and association all one word) to find the OAA Facebook profile, and “Oswego Alumni Association” (three words) to join the OAA Facebook group. The OAA invites all alumni and friends of Oswego State to “befriend” them on Facebook and MySpace as yet another way to keep in touch with Oswego, find long lost classmates and gather information about upcoming alumni events.

However, the best way to maintain a relationship with your alma mater is through the OsweGoConnect online community at http://www.alumniconnections.com/oswegoalumni/. OsweGoConnect is the OAA’s own online networking site, similar to facebook or MySpace. Through OsweGoConnect, alumni can create their own profiles, search for classmates and friends, sign up for free permanent e-mail, view event photo galleries, register for upcoming alumni events, post classnotes and pictures, search the alumni business directory and take advantage of job or internship postings.

So, get online today to check out OsweGoConnect and the OAA on Facebook and MySpace to see what’s new at your alma mater, find friends, view photos and much more!
