Mark your calendars and plan to return to the SUNY Oswego campus June 6 to 8 for Reunion 2008.

In addition to regular Reunion offerings, including a barbecue at Fallbrook, a golf outing, tours of campus and the city, and a sing-along, Reunion 2008 will feature the popular mini- “Taste of Oswego,” with foods from favorite Oswego eateries, including Canale’s, Rudy’s and the Oswego Sub Shop.

This year’s event, slated for Saturday evening, will feature a Caribbean theme. The popular steel band Caribbean Extravaganza, featured at last autumn's Return to Oz III reunion, will return to campus for an encore performance.

Specially honored will be the 50th anniversary class of 1958 and the 25th anniversary class of 1983. Other class years ending in 8 and 3 will be featured, but everyone is welcome. The 30th  cluster reunion will be held for the classes of 1977, 1978 and 1979 and the 5th cluster reunion will be held for the classes of 2002, 2003 and 2004.

To date, seven Greek organizations have planned mini-reunions and in addition to all of their individual events, they will gather at the Elks Lodge on Saturday evening for a Greeks and Friends Social. Alpha Sigma Chi will celebrate its 85th anniversary.

“Reunion Weekend is a special event for the Oswego Alumni Association, because it is our opportunity to welcome back to campus hundreds of alumni, many of whom have not been back to Oswego since their graduation many years ago,” said Betsy Oberst, executive director of the Oswego Alumni Association.
