After a busy weekend around the country in Division III ice hockey, the Oswego State men's hockey team moved into a tie for the top spot in the recent USCHO.com poll with rival Plattsburgh.

Each team garnered 282 votes with the Lakers earning seven first-place votes and the Cardinals earning eight. Previously top-ranked St. Norbert dropped to third place followed by Adrian and Norwich.

It is the first time since October 15, 2007 that Oswego State has been ranked first in the country.

Oswego State will host a pair of games this weekend on Friday against Brockport and on Saturday against Geneseo.  Both games start at 7 p.m.
