Oswego grad student Adam Marinelli ’04 is introduced to Joan Cear ’80, managing director, G.S. Schwartz & Co., at the New York City Career Connections event last month. Cear was previously president and owner of The Wachsman Cear Group, another NY-based PR agency that merged with G.S. Schwartz & Co. in 2001. Cear is responsible for strategic planning and public relations program development and implementation for a wide range of clients. She attended the event to help students with specifics like how to network in the field, write a job-oriented résumé and how to find work in specific geographic locations.
