John Spinner ’06 |
Four Oswego State student-athletes earned All-American
recognition in their respective sports during the winter
season. John Spinner
’06 was a wrestling All-American after
finishing eighth in the 125-pound weight class at the
NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Ewing,
N.J. Spinner, a native of Burke, is majoring in history
and is the 46th wrestling All-American at Oswego State.
Spinner had two wins and three losses in the tournament.
His season record was 26-14.

Ryan Woodward ’07 |
Ryan Woodward ’07
earned All-American recognition by the American Hockey
Coaches Association after leading the Oswego State men's
ice hockey team to a SUNYAC regular-season title. Woodward
was named to the East Region Second Team by the AHCA.
He ranked as the nation's leading scorer for most of
the season and was the SUNYAC Player of the Year. Woodward
is a native of Picton, Ontario, and is majoring in business
administration.

Greg Doyle ’08 |

Doyle ’08 and diver Kevin
Morgan ’08 both earned All-American status
at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships,
held at the University of Minnesota.
Doyle participated in three events, earning All-American
status in his best event, the 200-yard freestyle. Doyle
qualified for the consolation finals by turning in the
16th-fastest time during the heats. He placed eighth
in the consolation final race and was 16th overall.
The top 16 finishers earn All-American distinction.
Doyle is a native of Ulster Park and is majoring in
public justice.

Kevin Morgan ’08 |
Morgan earned All-American status for the second year
in a row. He placed eighth in the 3-meter diving finals.
Morgan advanced to the finals with an excellent score
of 424.64 in the preliminary event. He scored 417.65
in the finals. Morgan is a native of Saratoga Springs
and is majoring in adolescent education. |
