Celebrating mardi gras

It took an entire year to plan but in just three short
days, Reunion 2006 slipped away before we knew it.
Reunion 2006 had a total participation of more than
750 alumni and guests – 50 percent higher than
last year’s event. There were 59 classes represented
at this year’s reunion, from the class of 1936
to the class of 2007. Highest class participation honors
go to Class of 1956 with 16 percent.
Distance didn’t seem to be a problem for Oswego
alumni, who came from 26 states including Florida, Massachusetts
and New Jersey, while “farthest distance traveled”
honors go to 12 alumni from California.
Eleven groups held “official” mini-reunions
during Reunion Weekend. The newest Reunion feature,
a mini “Taste of Oswego” – Mardi Gras
style – featured favorite foods from Canale’s
Restaurant, Oswego Sub Shop and Rudy’s on Saturday
evening.
