Music Department Mini Reunion

The Oswego State Music Department is planning a Mini Reunion the weekend of Sept. 7 to 9. The reunion is open to all music majors and minors, as well as any alumni who participated in department ensembles while attending Oswego. Alumni are invited to bring their instruments or borrow one to perform with former classmates.

The schedule of events kicks off with a Get-Together/Jam Session Friday evening at Patz Restaurant (the former Admiral Woolsey's) in Oswego. Saturday begins with a complimentary continental breakfast in Tyler Hall followed by a day of rehearsals and campus tours. The evening will include a dinner in the Forum Restaurant of Hewitt Union followed by the alumni concert in Waterman Theatre. Sunday morning will feature a Bon Voyage Breakfast in the new Campus Center Activity Court.

The RSVP deadline is Aug. 27, so make your reservations now. Babysitting will also be available for an hourly fee with advance registration during some of the events. For more information call the Alumni Association at 315-312-2258 or e-mail alumni@oswego.edu.

Men’s Soccer Alumni Weekend

Attention all former Laker men’s soccer players! The Men’s Soccer Reunion will be held Sept. 21 and 22. The events include the SUNY Morrisville varsity game at Laker Field on Friday afternoon, followed by an informal get together at The Press Box in Oswego. Saturday will include an alumni game at Laker Field, followed by a barbeque for alumni and their families. There will be another home game versus SUNYIT at 4 p.m., honoring retired Coach Ernest Luongo and the 1966 SUNYAC Championship team at halftime. The reunion will come to a close with another informal get-together Saturday evening at Steamers at the Econolodge in Oswego.

September Events

The Alumni Association is sponsoring a chartered bus trip from Oswego to Kingston, Ontario, to attend Chilifest Sept. 29. To make reservations or for more information visit the Alumni Chilifest site or contact the Alumni Association at 315-312-2258 or e-mail alumni@oswego.edu, seats are limited!

October

Coming up in October will be the King Street Krawl in Washington, D.C., Oct. 6. The Taste of Charleston, held in Charleston, North Carolina, will be Oct. 8. The Campus Center Grand Opening will be held in Oswego Oct. 12. The Communications Alumni Dinner will take place Oct. 20 and the Buffalo Bills game and tailgate is Oct. 21. The Athletic Hall of Fame Induction will be Oct. 27.
