Regional Alumni Program to Relaunch
The Regional Alumni Program will see a relaunch in the coming months and the Oswego Alumni Association is looking for “ambassadors” in communities coast to coast.
“This is really about celebrating community,” Director of Alumni and Parent Relations Michael Sgro said. Regional chapters will hold events where Oswego graduates can connect with each other while supporting alumni businesses, cheering on traveling Oswego sports teams, helping with a community service project, building a professional network or assisting with prospective student recruitment.
Volunteer ambassadors will help determine which events best suit their location’s constituency, reach out to local Lakers and utilize social media to engage alumni in each community.
“We’ll provide training, a conduit of communications and resources for best practices,” said Sgro. “All we require of our ambassadors is that they are passionate about Oswego and their communities.
"Alumni in any region, big or small, are invited to get involved," Sgro said.
Send an email with your name and city or visit the Regional Alumni Program website for details on how to start or help build a network.
