Laker Hockey Celebrates 50

From throwing bagels to raising banners, Laker hockey celebrates 50 years of tradition at Oswego in 2013.

The men’s ice hockey program and Oswego Alumni Association are planning a hockey alumni weekend next fall to mark five decades as one of the college’s most beloved pastimes.

“We’re encouraging all former players, captains especially, to help us plan,” Director of Alumni and Parent Relations Mike Sgro said.

Volunteers will help track down fellow players and former coaches as well as determine what events will make up the weekend. Get involved by emailing the Alumni Office or filling out a volunteer form.

Men’s baseball, soccer and lacrosse alumni all enjoyed reunion weekends this year and Dec. 1 marks the annual Basketball Alumni Day.
