Return to Oz IV Moved to September 2013

The Oswego Alumni Association has postponed the Return to Oz reunion for one year until Sept. 27 to 29, 2013.

"It was an extremely difficult decision brought on by an unforeseen circumstance," said Mike Sgro, director of alumni and parent relations.

A maintenance power outage at the Entergy nuclear station has left nearly all accommodations in Oswego and the vicinity booked for most of September 2012. Return to Oz IV was originally slated for Sept. 28 to 30.

"We apologize for the inconvenience ⎯ and disappointment ⎯ this unfortunate situation causes," Sgro said in a statement. "We thank the many campus and alumni volunteers who have worked so hard in the planning and hope that [they] will continue to work with us on another successful Return to Oz Reunion in 2013."

The volunteer committee will continue the momentum of Return to Oz planning and host a Kick-Off Party next month on Sept. 29 at alumni-owned Houndstooth Pub in New York City.
