Volunteers Will Make Reunion 2012 Memorable
Alumni and friends celebrated Oswego's 150th birthday at the Sesquicentennial Reunion Celebration this year and it was quite a party.
The Oswego Alumni Association is counting on milestone classes, Greek organizations and other special groups to make Reunion 2012 even bigger. History can be made again June 8 to 10, 2012, without the help of volunteers now. Sign up to volunteer online or call the Reunion Hotline at 315-312-5559 by Oct. 1.
Reunion Class Group Volunteers help plan activities for the weekend, including special events for their graduation year or group. Dozens of volunteers also build anticipation by networking with their classmates and friends.
More than 1,100 alumni, family and friends attended more than 60 events during Sesquicentennial Reunion Celebration in 2011.
There are many opportunities to get involved, no matter where volunteers live or how much time they have to give. With e-mail, fax and phone, volunteers can contribute ideas even if they live too far away to make it to planning meetings.
All SUNY Oswego graduates are welcome, but there will also be special events planned for milestone anniversary reunion classes, including 1937, 1942, 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1987, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 2002. In addition, Admissions Tour Guides, Alpha Delta Eta, Alpha Sigma Chi, Beta Tau Epsilon, Delta Chi Omega/TKE, Delta Kappa Kappa, Delta Phi Epsilon, Honors Program, Omicron Xi 30th Anniversary, Pi Delta Chi, Phi Sigma Phi, Sigma Gamma 65th Anniversary, Sigma Tau Chi and Theta Chi Rho have signed on to have mini-reunions over the weekend.
To add your group to the list of Reunion 2012 groups, contact the Alumni Office by Dec. 1. Sign up to volunteer online or call the Reunion Hotline at 315-312-5559 by Oct. 1.
