Fall Athletes Named to All-SUNYAC Teams
Oswego State field hockey player Kelly Collins '12 became a two-time First Team All-SUNY Athletic Conference selection and her teammate Ashley Collins '14 was chosen for the Second Team in November. Both were joined by two women's soccer and one men's soccer all-conference selections.
Kelly Collins finished the season with a team-leading 25 points on 11 goals and three assists. She also paced the SUNYAC in points with six goals and an assist for 13 points in six league contests.
The 2008 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year ended her career with 80 career points (31 goals, 18 assists), which ranks fourth all-time on the program's points list and third in career goals and assists.
Ashley Collins started in all 17 games and was a key player in the transition game for the midfielders and forwards.
The Lakers finished the season 7-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference standings.
Oswego State women's soccer forwards Nikki Liadka '14 and Shelly Bateman '13 were named to the Second and Third teams, respectively.
Liadka lead the Lakers in scoring for the second-straight season with 25 points on 10 goals, including three game-winning scores, and five assists. Bateman, also a Third Team pick in 2009, was second on the squad in scoring this year with six goals and seven assists for 19 points.
The women's soccer team posted an overall record of 10-8-0 and won the Eastern College Athletic Conference Upstate championship.
On the men's side, soccer defender Bryan Pacchiana '12 was named to the All-SUNYAC Third Team. He was an integral part of a defensive unit that allowed only 22 goals this season.
Oswego State men's soccer finished with an overall record of 5-10-1.
