What activities are you involved with at Oswego? I am the current President of my sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, as well as a tutor at Oswego High School as part of the Mentor Oswego program.
Why did you choose Oswego? I chose Oswego because it was just the right size fo me The campus is big enough that I get to meet new people every day, but small enough that I don't feel like I am getting lost in the crowd. Also, I am a Childhood Education major and Oswego has a great School of Education and promotes hands on learning in classrooms which were really appealing to me.
What is the best thing about your major? The best thing about my major is the amount of hands on experience that I am getting. I feel that once I graduate I will be comfortable in a classroom because I have had chances to get out into the field.
Generally speaking, what impact has the Oswego faculty had on you? The faculty here at Oswego are always there to help whenever help is needed. They want you to succeed and will be there for you throughout your entire college career. The faculty are very accommodating when it comes to helping students who may be struggling.
What's the best thing about SUNY Oswego? All of the people are extremely friendly and apt to making new friends. I love that since there are so many different clubs and organizations, it makes it easy to become a part of something and experience new things. Also, being able to watch the beautiful sunsets doesn't hurt.
What opportunities has Oswego given you that you never had before? Oswego gave me the chance to get out into a new place and experience new things. Without Oswego, I may never have had the courage to run for office of my organization or take a job that allows me to meet so many people.
