I hope to be studying abroad during next summer in Costa Rica!

What activities are you involved with at Oswego?
I am one of the group leaders for Mentor Oswego and I volunteer at the local Oswego County School districts. I am also an Oswego Admissions Tour Guide.

Why did you choose Oswego?
Oswego is far enough from home - I really wanted to be away so that I can get that full college experience. They also offered tons of majors and who can resist that lake???

What is the best thing about your major?
I am horrible at math or sciences.  I have always been personable and great around people - Public Relations is the best thing for me.

Generally speaking, what impact has the Oswego faculty had on you?
The Oswego faculties are really there to assist students inside and outside of classrooms. Learning does not stop after class is over - All the professors are extremely helpful.

Who's your favorite professor and why?
Steve Granelli is by far my favorite professor. I took Public Speaking with him and he made even the shyest person come out of their shell.

Describe your department's atmosphere and how it has enhanced your ability to learn.
The Communication's Office offers a variety of opportunities and different majors for student's interested in Journalism, PR, Broadcasting and many more. Many internship opportunities are also available in this department.

What's the best thing about SUNY Oswego?
The best thing about SUNY Oswego is the friends I made here. Everyone is like my family; this place is my home away from home.

Comment on how your Oswego experience has helped prepare you for a career.
Being so far away from home (6 hours) I feel more independent and confident in myself, Oswego has helped prepare me for that. I am also very confident in my professors and I feel the skills I have acquired will come in handy for me in the real world

What opportunities has Oswego given you that you never had before?
The immense amount of leadership skills and hands-on experience offered here at Oswego is astounding.
