What activities are you involved with at Oswego?
I am the Weekday Program Intern in the Admissions Office.  I am also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an International Education Honor Society. I have played intramural softball and broomball.  I have also rowed on the Club Crew team. I was the site coordinator for Mentor Oswego last fall.  My junior year I was a Resident Assistant.

Why did you choose Oswego?
I loved the campus.  After visiting, my family told me that I glowed because I was so excited!  Also, Oswego has a great education program.

What is the best thing about your major?
I feel the best thing is that I'm already working on things that are going to apply to me in the future in the classroom and outside of it.

Generally speaking, what impact has Oswego faculty had on you?
The Oswego faculty are great!  Everyone is nice and the professors are always around if you ever need anything. I have had many professors come in on their days off to help me with essays or projects.

Who's your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Linda Loomis.  I took Creative Writing 208 with her and she is the nicest professor I have ever had.  She was very open to discussing things in class. We were able to write about ourselves and many other interesting things, rather than having a research paper.

Describe your department's atmosphere and how it has enhanced your ability to learn.
The Education department is perfect.  They have a very friendly atmosphere and all the professors are willing to help which makes everything easier.  Most of the professors were previously teachers so they know how a classroom works.

What's the best thing about SUNY Oswego?
I think that the best thing about SUNY Oswego is all the friends I have made.  I love that I came to school knowing no one, and left my first year with friends that I'm going to have for the rest of my life.

Comment on how your Oswego experience has helped prepare you for a career.
My Oswego experience has helped me prepare for my career because I'm learning things in class each day which ultimately applies to my future.  Also, learning to live away from home, and doing things on your own, has helped me become more responsible and prepared for what's to come.

What opportunities has Oswego given you that you never had before?
Oswego has given me opportunities to try new things that I might have never done, like join certain sports and meet new people.
