The best way to learn about SUNY Oswego is to visit. We offer several visit options to take a student-guided campus tour, speak with an admissions counselor and to get a feel for campus life. Reservations are necessary for all programs, you can register online, or by calling 315.312.2250 during business hours.

Summer 2014 highlights include:

  •     Information Programs from July 7 through August 15, 2014
  •     Summer Open House: July 18, 2014
  •     Individual appointments and tours Monday-Friday from May 19 through August 19, 2014 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Information Programs

Information Programs include a small group presentation by an Admissions Counselor followed by a student-guided campus tour.  During the summer, programs are offered Monday-Friday at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. and usually last about two and a half hours.  The Friday events will also include a complimentary ice cream social with a chance to mingle with faculty and staff.

During the academic year programs are offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday and on select Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

Individual Appointments

Individual appointments and student guided tours are offered Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Call 315.312.2250 to arrange an appointment.  A typical appointment will include an individual meeting with an Admissions Counselor and a hour and a half student-guided tour of campus.

Open Houses

Oswego offers one Open House program during the spring and summer, as well as three during the fall semester- your best opportunity to get an in-depth overview of SUNY Oswego's offerings. Space is limited, so please be sure to register early! 

Registration will begin August 1, 2014 for the follow events:

  • Columbus Day Open House- October 13, 2014. 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • Saturday Open House- October 18, 2014. 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Veterans Day Open House- November 11, 2014. 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

          Registration will begin January 15, 2015 for the follow event:

  • Open House for High School Juniors- Monday, May 4, 2015. 12:30 - 4:00 p.m.
    • This event is designed for high school juniors and sophomores who are just starting their college search. 

Admitted Student Days

Our most comprehensive visit options include opportunities to speak with admissions staff, college offices and current students.  Student guided campus tours, presentations and an information fair are also included. These events are designed for freshman and transfer applicants (of all majors) who have already applied to Oswego or have already been accepted and would like more information about the college. Please note: if you have already been accepted and paid your admissions deposit these events are not mandatory, and they are not Orientation programs where you will register for fall classes. 

Spring 2015 dates will be announced by December 15, 2014.

Group Visits

Group visits are available for school counselors to bring high school and community college students to campus-

A limited number of group visits are available for the summer.  Please call the Office of Admissions at 315.312.2250 for availablity.

Group visits consist of an hour-long information session with an admissions counselor, and an hour and a half walking tour of the campus. Accommodations can be made to eat on campus if needed; meal pricing can be provided upon request.

If you would like to bring a group onto campus please fill out our registration form and we will be in touch with you shortly. Group requests should be made at least two weeks in advance of your visit. Group visits are available on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and are reserved for groups with 50 students or less. Please email- with any questions.

Overnight Host Program

This unique hosting option allows prospective admitted students to enjoy a day and night on campus with a current SUNY Oswego student. The program runs Monday to Thursday on most weeks of the Spring Semester. Please click here for more information. We hope to see you soon!
