Columbus Day Open House
The Open House will include: Admissions presentations, a chance to talk with faculty, student-guided campus tours, select tours of academic facilities and an opportunity to meet with representatives from Career Services, International Education (study abroad) and Experience-Based Education (internships). Transfer students should complete the application for admission as early as possible for the following fall term. No additional scholarship forms are required. Admission applications received by Jan. 15 receive priority for scholarship consideration. Over one-third of the entering class received merit-based scholarship money.
Fall 2016 Transfer Awards include:
$1,000 Merit Scholarships (non-renewable)
$2,000 Achievement Scholarships ($1,000 annually for up to two years)
$20,000 - $32,000 Destination Oswego Scholarships ($5,000 - $8,000 annually for up to four years) Available for students who are not eligible for New York State tuition; Requires on-Campus housing and full time status.
Transfer Merit Scholarships
Transfer students entering in the fall term with a cumulative GPA 3.30+ and 57 or more college credits are eligible for a one-time scholarship worth $1,000. To be eligible, simply complete an application for admission to be considered; no scholarship forms are required.
Transfer Achievement Scholarships
Transfer students entering in the fall term with a cumulative 3.75 GPA or higher and 57 or more college credits are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship which is renewable for one year if the student maintains a 3.0 or higher GPA at SUNY Oswego. To be eligible, simply complete an application for admission to be considered; no scholarship forms are required.
Renewable Destination Oswego Scholarships are available to non-New York State residents & international transfer students, who are not otherwise eligible for New York State tuition, and require full-time study and on-campus housing. The award amounts range from $5,000 - $8,000 annually based on transfer students college GPA.
