Again, congratulations on your acceptance into SUNY Oswego! Feel free to bookmark this pageas a reference as you progress toward the fall semester. We hope the following links and information will help you finalize plans to join the Oswego community this fall!

Campus Visits
We strongly encourage you to visit our campus and meet our friendly students, faculty and staff. We have various campus visit options available in the weeks ahead, including student-guided tours accompanied by individual appointments or group information sessions. We look forward to hosting you!

Admission and Housing Deposit
To reserve a place among our fall incoming class, you must complete the admissions deposit form.  You can pay the admissions deposit either online (preferred method) or via postal service.  The admissions enrollment form which was enclosed with your acceptance letter will provide your USER ID number and PIN which are needed for the online process.  To submit the deposit though the mail simply return the Admissions Enrollment Form with your deposit in the envelope attached.

To indicate your intent to enroll at SUNY Oswego, you must submit a deposit by May 1, 2008 or by the date indicated in your acceptance letter (whichever is later).  If you plan to live on campus, your deposit is $200; if you do not intend to live on campus, your deposit is $100.  Additional information concerning billing can be found through Student Accounts.

Transfer Edge
The TransferEdge programallows transfer students to get an edge when it comes to securing their first semester classes.  Those students that pay their applicable deposit by the deadline of March 19, 2008 will have the option to attend the TransferEdge program on Saturday, April 5, 2008.  At this new program you will be given the tools and resources to register for classes on your own as early as April 12th.  Contact the New Student Orientation office for more information.

Financial Aid
We encourage you to consult with our Office of Financial Aid on opportunities for funding support. Last year, 78% of aid applicants received financial assistance through this office. Students who have filed their FAFSA by April 1 will receive priority for campus-based federal funding. You can also apply for FAFSA online; SUNY Oswego's FAFSA code is 002848.

Campus Housing
After paying your housing deposit, you will receive detailed information on housing selection from the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

Transfer and Proficiency Credit
An evaluation of your transfer credit will be provided upon receipt of your official transcript(s) and your tuition deposit. If you would like an evaluation before you submit your deposit, please let us know. Credit for Advanced Placement. (A.P.) and other proficiency credit is awarded following receipt of your official A.P. or other proficiency transcript. We have established an advancement placement program to serve students who seek recognition for achievement acquired outside the conventional college classroom.

Transcripts
Do we have all of your transcripts yet? Please make sure you forward your final transcripts to the Office of Admissions/229 Sheldon Hall/SUNY Oswego/Oswego, NY 13126.

Health Report
After you pay your deposit, you will receive a Pre-Admission Health History form, which must be completed by you and your health care provider and returned to us within 30 days.

First-Year Program
We've been receiving rave reviews for our FirstChoice Program for first-year students. This option offers incoming first-year students a variety of programs to ensure successful transition to college.

Orientation
Another way we make our newest students feel welcome is through our Summer Orientation program, which includes both an orientation to campus and an opportunity to advance register for fall classes. The Orientation Office offers six separate campus programs for First-Year students during the month of July and five programs for transfer students in May, July, and August. All Six of the first-year programs include an overnight stay; transfer students will have both overnight and one-day programs available.
