Why did you choose Oswego?
This is a really corny story that I tell everybody, but when I came to visit the campus I just fell in love with the school. It was a love at first sight kind of thing.
What is the best thing about your major?
There are a lot of opportunities here at Oswego that are offered for my major. I can't wait to continue on in my program so I can take advantage of all of them.
Generally speaking, what impact has the Oswego faculty had on you?
I think they have all been very nice and helpful which is good for me during my freshman year. I think your first semester is really hard and having faculty who care is very helpful.
Who's your favorite professor and why?
Professor Riecke. He's very helpful, and I think it's because he's also a first year advisor. We would always take time out of the beginning of each class to see if anyone had any concerns they wanted to talk about.
Describe your department's atmosphere and how it has enhanced your ability to learn.
I think (at least from what I've seen so far), that my department has a very friendly, comforting atmosphere. Atmospheres like this one are good because it helps students feel welcome.
What's the best thing about SUNY Oswego?
The snow, obviously! Totally kidding. I think the best thing about Oswego is the overall atmosphere, everyone on campus is generally very nice and willing to help you out in whatever way they can. Also there's always an opportunity to get involved whether it's with a job or a sports team or a club.
