Thank you for your interest in taking a leadership role with the SUNY Oswego chapter of Tau Sigma. With the right leadership, Tau Sigma can do great things and become an even better organization. There are currently six (6) positions on the Executive Board. The positions are as follows:
President - The President prepares the agenda for all officer meetings and chapter meetings. They lead all meetings and are responsible for the planning and execution of the induction ceremony each year.
Vice President - The Vice President is responsible for any special projects with which the chapter is involved. Examples include assisting with TRANSFERmation and helping recruit transfer students to SUNY Oswego. The Vice President also should be able to assume the responsibilities of the President if the President is unable to attend a meeting or event.
Secretary - The Secretary is responsible for keeping attendance and minutes at all meetings and functions. The secretary also organizes all community service projects.
Treasurer - The Treasurer is responsible for keeping up with the finances of the chapter. The Treasurer also should prepare an annual budget. Other responsibilities of the Treasurer include planning socials and fundraisers for the chapter.
Public Relations Director - The Public Relations Director is responsible for the overall image of Tau Sigma. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment of members, marketing and publicity, handling all information requests from campus media, press releases, and membership satisfaction.
Webmaster - The Webmaster is responsible for maintenance and updates of the Tau Sigma website hosted on the SUNY Oswego servers. The Webmaster must be familiar with website design and creation and be able to use a variety of webdesign software.
