Course Drop versus Course Withdrawal

The last day to drop a Spring 2012 semester course without financial liability is January 22, 2012. Students may continue to drop on the web through February 10, 2012, but there is fee liability beginning January  22. Use an ADD/DROP Form if you never attended or want to drop after January 22 (the instructor's signature and last date of attendance filled in by instructor are required) to assure correct fee liability.

Course withdrawal from February 11 through March 23, 2012 must be done on a Course Withdrawal Form with the required signatures. Withdrawal grades of 'WF', 'WP' or 'WN' will be assigned and appear on your transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill.

Documented course withdrawal from March 24-May 4, 2012 must be done on a Documented Late Course Withdrawal Form, have the necessary signatures, have documentation (e.g., a health care provider’s verification of student illness [physical or psychological] or of major illness of immediate family member; copy of obituary, listing relationship of deceased to student; letter from student’s employer) submitted to the  Dean's Office of your major with the form. Withdrawal grades of 'WF', 'WP' or 'WN' will be assigned and appear on your transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill .
