EFFECTIVE TEACHING TOPIC OF FREE TALK
OSWEGO -- The public is invited to attend a free
presentation by Dr. Alan E. Guskin, co-director of the Project on the
Future of Higher Education and president emeritus of Antioch
University, at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, in the Hewitt Union ballroom at
SUNY Oswego.
He will discuss ways to enhance effective teaching
in a time of restricted resources. A social psychologist, Guskin has
devoted 25 years to leading universities and has written frequently on
the role of leadership, power, conflict and change in educational
organizations, especially universities.
This keynote address is part of "Beyond Chalk and
Talk II," a two-day conference that will feature more than 30
presentations from faculty at 13 colleges and universities Oct. 10 and
11 at Hewitt Union.
