OSWEGO -- A cast of students from the theatre department of Oswego State will present a stage adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray at 8 p.m. Oct. 11 to 14 and at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in Waterman Theatre in Tyler Hall.
Double cast in the role of Dorian, the handsome youth who gets his wish to remain as young as he is in his portrait, are Mark Northrup and Ethan Van Auken.
The artist Basil Hallward will be played by Eric Webb. Lord Henry Wotton, the worldly friend of Dorian's who encourages him to follow a life of hedonism, will be played by Leonard Planes. Lord Henry's wife will be played by Keri Treton.
The actress Sibyl Vane, whom Dorian idealizes, will be played by Jennifer McNiven. Sibyl's mother will be played by Julianna Marlow, and her brother by Erik Norris.
In the role of Lady Agatha will be Amber Crone; the Duchess of Harley, Adele Basile; Mrs. Burdon, Samantha DeLuke; Mrs. Erskine, Jennifer Caruana; and Mrs. Vandeleur, Robyn Archibald. Eric Krywe will play Mr. Hubbard; Erin Nunn, Duchess of Monmouth; and Michael Climek, Alan Campbell.
Singers for the production will be Sondra Tackett, Julianna Marlow, Kevin Keleher and John Keating.
