YORK UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR TO DISCUSS
'CLASH OF GLOBALIZATIONS' AT SUNY OSWEGO
OSWEGO -- Dr. Stephen Gill, a political science professor at York University in Toronto, will discuss "The Clash of Globalization" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Bell Auditorium in SUNY Oswego's Hewitt Union. The admission-free talk is part of the College of Arts and Sciences Lecture Series.
Gill, who specializes in the fields of international political economy and international relations, is currently in the process of completing a new book, "The Constitution of Global Capitalism." He has written several books including "Atlantic Relations, Beyond the Reagan Era" in 1989, "Restructuring Global Politics" in 1996 and "Globalization, Democratization and Multilateralism" in 1997. His published work also includes books he has co-authored as well as more than 50 articles and chapters in edited collections.
Gill's international qualifications include serving as a Hallsworth Senior Research Fellow in Political Economy at the University of Manchester, a visiting scholar of law at the University of Tokyo and senior associate member at St. Antony's College at Oxford University.
