PHOTO CONTEST UNDER WAY
AT RICE CREEK FIELD STATION
OSWEGO -- There is still time to enter the Fall 2000 Amateur Photography Contest sponsored by Rice Creek Associates, the private support group of Oswego State's Rice Creek Field Station.
Any interested amateur photographer may submit up to three photographs by Nov. 30. Photos entered in the contest must be original work and must have been taken within the last calendar year on the premises of Rice Creek Field Station and the surrounding trails.
Entries may either be in color or black and white.
The contest will culminate with a weeklong showing at the field station from Dec. 4 to 11.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries Saturday, Dec. 9. The first-place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate courtesy of Gentile's Camera Shop. The Picture Connection has donated a $25 gift certificate to be presented to the second-place winner and Rice Creek Associates will award a $20 cash prize to the third-place winner.
The contest is designed to promote use and increase awareness of the facilities at Rice Creek Filed Station, located on Thompson Road, which is just west of the college's main entrance on Route 104 in Oswego.
A complete listing of contest rules is available by calling the field station at 342-0961.
