COMMENCEMENT TO SHOW LIVE ON CABLE TV
OSWEGO -- SUNY Oswego's 142nd Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 17, in Romney Field House will air live on Time Warner cable channel 96, the public access channel.
The 9 a.m. ceremony will honor School of Business, School of Education and Division of Continuing Education candidates for degrees, while College of Arts and Sciences candidates will participate in the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
Each ceremony will feature an alumnus as principal speaker, each of whom will also receive an honorary degree.
Bruce Coville, a 1973 Oswego graduate and the author of more than 80 children's books, will receive an honorary doctor of letters degree at the 9 a.m. ceremony for the School of Business, School of Education and Division of Continuing Education.
Dr. Peter Clement, a 1971 Oswego graduate and the senior expert for Russian affairs at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences.
In all, 1,188 undergraduate degrees and 216 graduate degrees and certificates will be conferred at the two ceremonies.
