SUNY OSWEGO TO OFFER SCREENING FOR ALCOHOL USE
OSWEGO -- Alcohol Awareness Day will take place Wednesday, April 9, at SUNY Oswego from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the formal lounge of Hewitt Union.
Mental health professionals from the college's Counseling Services Center and LifeStyles Center and the County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Other Addictions will offer local residents the opportunity to take a free, anonymous self-test about alcohol, answer questions and, if appropriate, offer support or referrals for treatment services within the community. Free educational materials will be available.
Also taking place at noon that day will be a session in the main lounge of Hewitt Union called "Personal Stories of Recovery: A Panel Presentation."
For more information about this free program, call the SUNY Oswego Counseling Services Center at 312-4416.
