OSWEGO -- SUNY Oswego's Sheldon Hall will be one site participating in "Womenfuture MainEvent 2002," an interactive global town hall meeting on leadership issues, on April 11.
The college's Center for Business and Community Programs and Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training are sponsoring local participation in the program. Leadership experts and participants from around the world will be linked via satellite for the event.
"Some of the top leadership minds in the world are participating in this cutting-edge seminar," said Nancy Bellow, SUNY Oswego's director of workforce development. "It is really exciting to host an event sharing the thoughts of experts gathered in places like New York City, London and Washington, D.C."
Those scheduled to participate in the global forum include U.S. Undersecretary of State Charlotte Beers, PBS President Pat Mitchell, Xerox Chief Executive Anne Mulcahy, management guru Tom Peters and CNN anchorwoman Paula Zahn.
Registration and networking will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the satellite seminar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a local discussion from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The events will all take place in the lower lobby of Sheldon Hall. A $20 fee per person covers registration and refreshments. For reservations, call 312-3680.
