LEARN TO DRIVE TAUGHT
IN SUMMER SESSION IN OSWEGO
OSWEGO -- Basic instruction for people who want to learn to drive an automobile or improve their driving skills and confidence will be available this summer in SUNY Oswego's department of technology beginning July 9.
The five-week course will include a five-hour pre-licensing seminar, which qualifies the student to sign up for a road test with the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
The first class meeting of the five-week course will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 9. Class will meet for classroom lecture instruction on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. through Aug. 9. In-car driving instruction will be individually scheduled on one or more of those days from 2:45 to 5 p.m.
All driver-learners must have a valid New York state learner's permit. The course will not provide a MV-285 blue card. The cost of instruction is $125. Only money orders are accepted, made payable to the SUNY Oswego department of technology.
