SPEAKER AT SUNY OSWEGO
TO PROMOTE BODY ACCEPTANCE
OSWEGO -- Body Acceptance and Eating Awareness Day will be observed at SUNY Oswego on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the Hewitt Union formal lounge from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Guest speaker Rebecca Ruggles Radcliffe will make two presentations. "Dance Naked in Your Living Room: Handling Stress and Finding Joy" will be held at 11 a.m. "Learning to Live in Our Bodies: Untangling Emotions, Food and Body Hatred" will be at 12:30 p.m.
Radcliffe is a national speaker, consultant, workshop leader and author of several books on body acceptance, stress management and self-esteem.
Counselors will be available for a brief meeting or to help participants take a free eating-attitude screening. Informational videos, handouts and free food will also be offered.
The public is welcome to attend all the Body Acceptance and Eating Awareness Day activities.
