AUDITIONS FOR 'KING AND I'
SET AT OSWEGO SUMMER
THEATRE
OSWEGO -- Waterman Summer Theatre at SUNY Oswego will
hold auditions for the July production of "The King and I" Sunday, March
11.
Direction and choreography for the production are by Ron
Medici of SUNY Oswego's theatre department. Music direction is by Julie
Pretzat of the music department.
Auditions for adult roles will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
Sunday, March 11, in Room 102 in Tyler Hall on the Oswego Campus. An
accompanist will be provided.
Leading roles include Anna (in her mid 30s), Tuptim (late
teens or early 20s), Lady Thiang (mid 30s), Lun Tha (male in his 20s) and
the King (late 30s early 40s).
A chorus of women is needed as well as a smaller chorus
of men.
All auditioners will be asked to sing a song from "The
King and I." Music is available in the theatre department office, Room
105 in Tyler Hall. Auditioners will also be asked to read from the
script.

This audition is for adults, age 17 and over, only. A
separate children's audition will be held in May.
