FEMININE VOICE CELEBRATED
IN READINGS AT SUNY
OSWEGO
OSWEGO -- "Women Aloud: The Feminine Voice in Our Lives"
will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, in Hewitt Union's Bell
Auditorium at SUNY Oswego.
"Women Aloud" is an annual evening of readings during
Women's History Month that benefits a scholarship in Oswego's Women's
Studies Program.
Included in this 12th annual "Women Aloud" program will
be performances by Holly Dobbins of the Office of International Education
and students Shana White, Rikelme Espinal, Kayoko Natsume and Sondra
Tackett.
Also in the program will be Sharon Morley of the English
department at Oswego High School. Emcee for the evening will be Betsy
McTiernan, director of the Writing Center at SUNY Oswego.
Tickets will be available at the door. Suggested
donations are $3 for students, $5 for the general public and $10 as a
special donation.
The 2001 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has
declared a minor in women's studies. The scholarship recipient will be
named that evening.
Refreshments will be served following the
readings.
