Oswego State EAP Committee Minutes - 9-01-05

Committee members: Donna Besaw, Bob Casper, Mary Dorsey, Jamie Enwright, Margaret Gover, Carrie Izzo, Paul Lower, Betsy Oberst, Vicki Parsnow, Judi Phillips, Brenda Seymour, Joanne Sivers, Coordinators Carol Carter & Jody Fiorini, Regional Representative Joan Mayes

Membership:  Welcome new members Donna Besaw and Bob Casper!

Minutes of prior meeting:                8-11-05

Treasurer’s report by Margaret Gover:                same - $1279.33 – but we owe about $100 for pens

Coordinator’s report:  Carol will attend New Coordinators Institute 9/18-23/05.

Carol answered phone line for July and August, Jody will answer Sept and October.  We get about 2 inquiries per month.

Old business:

·          Fall programming and Flyers – Meditation flyer should go out this week.  Fall programs flyer with cancer questionnaire insert should go out by early next week.

·          Grants – Brenda has 3 grants ready to submit for bags, magnets, and handouts for Benefit Fair – and is working on one for an EAP tablecloth for displays.

·          Benefit Fair 10-11-05 – exciting!  Margaret will get some hard candies for the EAP display table.  Committee members needed to man our display – and perhaps for other duties.   Jody volunteered from noon to 2pm.  Brenda will email committee for volunteers as needed.

New business:

·          Childcare Leadership Conf dinner in Syracuse 10-19-05 – Carol and Brenda will attend.

·          “America on the Move” – opportunity for campus to participate in this event – MaryD will forward email for review.

·          Winter BreakOut – offer smoking cessation, Life of Cancer, gardening?, EAP for Supervisors, health & wellness theme

·          Spring programming - “Getting Your Life in Order” – ID teft, finances, living wills, parenting, cancer, health & wellness
