Oswego State EAP Committee Minutes – 5-18-06

Committee members: Donna Besaw, Bob Casper, Mary Dorsey, Jamie Enwright, Margaret Gover, Carrie Izzo, Paul Lower, Betsy Oberst, Vicki Parsnow, Judi Phillips, Brenda Seymour, JoAnne Sivers, Shelly VanSlyke, Coordinators Carol Carter & Jody Fiorini

Minutes of prior meeting:  4-20-06

Treasurer’s report:  $1,335.32 – without T-Ball funds or expenses

Coordinator’s report:  none 

Old business:

·          Committee members – Mary will contact the two new volunteers about starting their membership in September.  Brenda spoke with Chuck Weeks regarding gaining a member from Res. Life.  Shelly will call Brian Wallace.

·          Grants –pedometers should be received shortly after the first LAF meeting on 6/5.  Brenda will write a grant in September to cover films that are selected for purchase.  Give your film choices to Brenda by September.

·          Spring programming 

o         LAF – First meeting 6/5 in the Main Level Food Court.  10 sessions, every Monday during the summer except 7/3

o         6/8 – gardening – flyer to go out to professional and classified employees on 5/30

o         June – T-Ball – 43 signed up so far for T-Ball.  Anyone who can show up for the first session on 6/6, please do so.  Meet by 4PM on the Lake side of Lee Hall 

·          Fall programming

o         Four “lunch and learns” with the Attorney General’s office and including Jody and Shelly doing a “protecting your family on the internet” session

o         Taking care of your stubborn parents

o         Flower Arranging 11/16 – with Sean Pelkey cost $5.– 20-25 people limit.

o         Continue Film Fest – once per month.  Movie on 12/7 at which time we will assemble candy grams

o         LAF every other Monday

New Business:   Margaret will gather information to present our case for an EAP budget
