Oswego State EAP Committee Minutes – 11-15-05

Present: Mary Dorsey,  Margaret Gover, Carrie Izzo, Judi Phillips, Brenda Seymour, Joanne Sivers, Joan Mayes 

Excused:  Donna Besaw, Bob Casper, Jamie Enwright, Carol Carter, Jody Fiorini  

Absent:  Betsy Oberst, Vicki Parsnow

Minutes of prior meeting:  10-20-05 – were emailed to committee.

Treasurer’s report:  $1078.32

Coordinator’s report:  Carol has not had any calls so far in November.  She attended Critical Incident training yesterday.  Films ordered thru Library are not here yet.

Old business:

·          Brenda will order one of each LifeWorks media available (CDs, tapes, etc)

·          Fall programming -

11-10-05   Cancer – good session, small turnout

11-16-05  Parenting Teens

11-30-05  Film Fest will be postponed since we don’t have the films yet

12-08-05  Cancer

Letters to Santa – due Dec 1^st

Candy Grams – due Dec 7^th – assemble Dec 8^th

·          Margaret did flyers for CandyGrams and Santa Letters – Carrie will deliver to Publications today.  MaryD will get the candy.

·          Winter BreakOut – offer smoking cessation, Life of Cancer, EAP for Supervisors on 1/17, health & wellness theme

·          Spring programming - “Getting Your Life in Order” – ID theft, finances, living wills, parenting, cancer, health & wellness, Healthcare Proxy/end-of-life issues

New business:

Set a regular meeting time so committee members can plan ahead.

Regular meeting time will be 2pm on the second Thursday of each month.

Next meeting: December 8, 2005 - noon Cancer program, then we’ll assemble CandyGrams.
