Provost's Council
Division of Academic Affairs

The Provost's Council meets weekly - normally on Wednesday mornings - to discuss issues relating to academic affairs at SUNY Oswego.  Provost's Council recommends policies and procedures in academic areas; helps coordinate and implement cross-divisional initiatives; provides leadership in planning initiatives; deals with issues affecting academic affairs and the institutions as a whole.

The Academic Affairs Council (AAC) is an expanded meeting of the Provost's Council that includes directors of the following offices: Learning Services; International Education and Programs; Research and Sponsored Programs; Honors; Experience-based Education; Institutional Research and Assessment; General Education; Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. The Chief Technology Officer, the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the director of the Center for Community and Business Development, and a representative of the Alumni and Development office also meet with this council. AAC meets twice each semester.
