Director of International Education and Programs
The Office of International Education and Programs is pleased to announce the Faculty International Travel Grants competition for spring and summer 2010. These grants are intended to support full-time faculty who wish to travel outside the United States to present papers at conferences, to do research, to support the creation of new courses that will include education abroad opportunities for Oswego students, and to bring international themes further into the curriculum.
All interested faculty should complete an application form which can be downloaded from our web site (http://www.oswego.edu/intled) in the “Faculty” section. Submit the application to my attention to the Office of International Education and Programs, 100 Sheldon Hall, by April 5, 2010 for the spring and summer round.
A committee of faculty selected from the International Education and Programs Advisory Board will review and advise on the process for application, selection, and awards, and make recommendations to the Director of International Education and Programs. Priority will be given to those faculty members who have not received an OIEP travel grant in the past year. Recipients will be notified approximately four weeks after the deadline for submission. Upon completion of the travel, grantees must submit a brief written report of their activities. Future consideration for a travel grant will depend upon this report being submitted in a timely fashion after completion of the travel.
Thank you for your efforts to further internationalize SUNY Oswego, and best wishes.
