Minutes of April 30, 2008

Looking back on 2007-2008:

Susan commended everyone for the hard work and many fine accomplishments in the Division of Academic Affairs during the current academic year. 

Budget:

Susan mentioned that discussions are underway pertaining to developments in the state budget for SUNY for the 2008-2009 academic year.  More information is expected to become available in the weeks ahead.

Announcements:

The college has received conditional approval of the software and electrical engineering program.  The proposal will next be distributed to colleges and universities in New York State for feedback to SED.

CTS presentation:

Joe Moreau, Chief Technology Officer, presented an update on what’s new and what’s under consideration by Campus Technology Services in support of instruction and campus administration.  His presentation will be available online in the near future.

Accomplishments:

Council members were invited to provide brief descriptions of activities in their units that contribute toward meeting sesquicentennial objectives.  A list follows:
