C.O.L.T. ‘Learning Centeredness’ presentation:

A delegation from the Committee on Learning and Teaching (COLT) presented a summary of data collected in an extensive series of surveys and focus group sessions held during the 2006-2007 academic year.  The purpose of the study was to identify perceptions and attitudes held by students, faculty and staff related to the campus learning environment. Following the summary presentation a brainstorming session was held to propose ways the College might respond.

Looking ahead to 2011:

The Council worked to develop a list of five priorities for large projects that would be implemented within five years.  Ideas were captured in a document that is helping to inform goals and objectives of “Engaging Challenge: The Sesquicentennial Plan.”

A number of projects were proposed. The Council will continue to deliberate on these initiatives going forward.
