Admissions Presentation:
The Admissions staff gave the Council an update on enrollment trends and described a number of activities that serve the needs of prospective students. The staff thanked faculty and staff in Academic Affairs for helping make the April Open House a rousing success.  A number of possible areas for new program development were mentioned.

New Hire Requests:
The Council discussed a variety of data related to program enrollment trends as part of a broader discussion about new hiring for 2007-2008.  The Provost and the deans will meet with the Priorities and Planning Council on Friday to present a draft proposal for high-priority searches to be conducted in the coming academic year.
