Announcements and Updates:

New hiring priorities will be discussed with the Priorities and Planning Council on May 5th at 3PM. They are due to the Provost by April 24th. Please provide justifications for each position.

The Search Committee for Director of Research Administration and Development has extended invitations to three candidates to visit the campus and meet with students, faculty and staff. Vitaes of invited candidates are posted to the Provost's website:

Dean of Graduate Studies and Research David King will meet with Sheila Tobias of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation on April 20th to discuss graduate program initiatives.

Provost's Memo on Promotion:

The Council discussed the Provost's memo on promotion and tenure.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The Council discussed possible revisions to the Memorandum of Understanding based on feedback from SUNY System Administration.  Some revisions will be made to address specific comments received from SUNY.

Candidates for Director of Research Administration and Development:

The Council began making preparations for meeting with each candidate during mid-April.  Yvonne Petrella volunteered to facilitate those meetings on behalf of the Council.
