On-line faculty activities report:
Implementation of the on-line activities report for faculty was discussed. Susan described meetings with faculty in which certain elements of the process were clarified. The Provost indicated that reporting activities using the online system works both for annual report summaries and for discretionary salary increases for the current academic year (July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006). She will ask the office of Institutional Research and Assessment to arrange demonstration opportunities for faculty who need assistance using the system.
Continuation of discussion on academic planning for 2011:
The Provost returned to a discussion begun at the Academic Affairs Council meeting on February 8th during which ideas were presented for incorporation into academic planning for the next five years. A variety of program emphases were proposed and discussed. Several suggestions applied to initiatives that are already underway, while others related to potential opportunities to serve new academic areas.
This discussion will continue.
