1.  Announcements, updates, brief discussions

• Kudos to all who attended the Torchlight Ceremony and thanks to all who participated in New Faculty Orientation.
• ORSP:  Provost is contacting members of the search committee.
• Graduate Dean:  We will start a search for the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research to begin next fall.  At our next meeting we will talk about the campus needs.
• On-line Faculty Activities:  After discussion with deans, provost will launch the effort as a pilot project with departments and individuals.
• Quest and Honors:  Provost will meet with people who have been involved in Honors Ceremony to discuss options for the future.
• Opening Breakfast was well received by participants.

2.  Potential Annual goals:  The group reviewed the current draft and made suggestions for revisions.  We will consider and approve a final draft at our next meeting.

3.  Announcements from members:

•  Rhonda asked that departments please change “staff” in the schedule to the instructor’s name.
•  Information on CourseSpace website was distributed by Mary.
•  Rhonda thanked all for participation in New Faculty Orientation.
•  Sara invited all to the A & S reception at 4 in the Union.
