1. Opening remarks: Susan thanked all for prompt assistance with budget information. She indicated she will be out of the office week of August 16th, asked that everyone work with Darlene to continue refining and updating personnel information. Beginning early in Fall term she wants to meet with division administrative staff to discuss successes and challenges in their areas. Later she wants to meet with departments with the same goal.
2. Department lines discussion: Susan presented each division head with a spreadsheet containing names and other information for all personnel lines in their individual departments and asked that this information be reviewed for clarity and accuracy. She indicated all lines, not just state funded PSR and T-S lines, are to be included.
3. Temporary-service tracking discussion: Mike handed out tracking data for all hires in Academic Affairs on part-time temporary lines that had been appointed by August 5th. Susan asked that this information be reviewed for accuracy as well.
4. ORSP Position discussion: There was an initial discussion of qualifications of an Interim Director, and the tasks of the Interim Director. The issue will be revisited in Provost Council meetings to come.
5. Online Annual Report of faculty activities discussion: Aspects of the form and the process were discussed.
6. Personnel Evaluation criteria discussion: Susan indicated she is satisfied that the previous provost's memo on evaluation criteria related to promotion and tenure. It will go forward as written.
