Announcements from Provost and Members:
a. Deans, please put requests in priority order by early January for Academic Equipment Replacement fund distribution. This year's allocation from SUNY has been announced ($117,000).
b. We have joined the Center for Academic Integrity at the request of the Taskforce for Academic Quality. Rhonda, Cathy Santos (Student Affairs) and Jean Chambers are listed as members and will receive mailings and other information in due course.
c. Graduate dean's search is underway; applications are arriving. Richard Skolnik, School of Business, is chairing the search.
d. Arts Programming Board has proposed a new concept for soliciting grant proposals from campus community. Information will be distributed to the faculty and staff in the near future.
c. Joseph F. Coughlin, SUNY Oswego graduate and founding Director of the MIT AgeLab, will be the speaker at QUEST in April. Dr. Coughlin teaches strategic management and public policy within the MIT School of Engineering's Engineering Systems Division.
d. National Conference on Race and Ethnicity will be held in New York City this year. This may be an opportunity for the college to send a delegation.
e. Piez Hall network upgrade will happen over winter break (handout: December 2004 report from Campus Technology Services).
Discussion of retreat agenda and data needs: Mehran has created a website. Mike and Rhonda will meet with Mehran to identify data needs for retreat discussion.
