"Our college is committed to enhancing the safety and security of the campus for all its members. The success of this commitment is the result of a combined effort by students, faculty, and staff working together for a safe environment in which to live and study. We encourage all members of the campus community to be proactive in their commitment to personal safety. In student and employee orientation programs, we promote the idea of being a responsible and involved citizen.

"The college strives to provide a safe environment. The guidelines for a safer environment are outlined in the Code of Student Rights, Responsibility, and Conduct and in the Room and Board agreement. SUNY Oswego has established security policies and educational programming dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment. At the heart of these policies is the charge to students, employees, and other members of Oswego's college community to take a shared responsibility to insure their own safety and the security of their property."
