Parking Services

The Parking Services Office aims to keep college community members and guests safe and make traffic flow smoothly on campus. Our parking program follows the New York State Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law, which applies fully on campus.

All vehicles parked on campus must have a valid parking permit. Permits may be obtained in person at the Parking Office or online via the Parking Portal. Vehicle registration is required for all permit purchases. Unauthorized parking in Reserved, Handicap Reserved or a firelane will be punishable by a fine of $75.

Employees & Students

Parking Portal

Parking permits can be ordered online via our Parking Portal. Login with your LakerNet ID and password, then follow the instructions to register the vehicle. You can choose to have the sticker mailed to your home or you can pick it up in person at our office. The parking sticker charge may be transferred to your Student Account bill. Other acceptable forms of online payments include:

  • E-check
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • Discover
  • American Express

You may also register in person at Parking Services. Please be prepared to show photo ID and a valid vehicle registration. While you're in the office, you can also pick up a parking map and a copy of the campus parking regulations. The parking sticker charge may be transferred to your Student Account bill. Other acceptable forms of in-person payments include cash or check.

We recommend affixing your parking sticker to your vehicle on the passenger side lower corner of the front windshield immediately so it doesn't get lost. Please note you aren’t legally registered until the sticker is affixed to the windshield. See Decal Placement below for guidance on where to affix the parking sticker.

Fees

In addition to the semester parking fees, a $10 non-refundable processing fee and taxes must be paid for each registered vehicle. If you need to change vehicles, there is a $10 charge for the new sticker. You must bring in the original sticker.

Decal Placement

Designated Parking Areas

Green signs notify drivers of the parking lot number and who is allowed. In this example, Lot 12 happens to be in the West zone so residents would need a West Resident permit to park there.  Employees may park in Employee lots. Students who live on campus may park in Resident lots within their zone. Students who commute may park in Commuter lots.
