International Mail Procedures

In an effort to save the college money, we have decided to go with an international mail company to send out all international mail. The company that we are using now is DHL. As a result of this change, you are no longer required to use the green custom stickers that you were instructed to use before.

This company will get your mail to its destination quicker than the United States Postal Service and it will also be less expensive. All of the same services that you were used to with the United States Postal Service are still in effect. This will make it easier on all the departments that use international mail.

With this new procedure, international mail will be sent out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you have a package that needs to be sent out sooner, you will have to notify the Mail Room and we will be able to make arrangements for it to be sent out sooner.

If you are sending a package that contains dutiable items, you will need to let the Mail Room know so that we can let DHL know.  A dutiable item is anything that is not educational, an example of this is clothing or mugs.  If you have questions about things that are dutiable please call the Mail Room.

DHL allows us to track your package out of the country, and if you need your package to be tracked to the actual destination that can also be done, but for a higher cost.
