Job Description:
The State University of New York (SUNY) Police Department at Oswego is seeking a qualified individual to join the team of staff responsible for providing technology support to the campus. The Security System Coordinator position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of the University Police Department's access control system, CCTV system, and a variety of other security and safety systems.
The annual salary for this position is $52,000.
Duties include: Working with campus leaders to develop security system policies and procedures; Manage door access system; CCTV system; Assist in the activation of campus emergency notification systems; Manage and promote cellular based safety system(Rave Guardian); Recommend and assist in installation of replacement systems.
Required Qualifications: An Associates degree in electronics, electrical technology, computer programming or related field; Must be familiar with basic electronic components and their functionality as well as installation of wire according to structured wiring technique; Applicable programming experience; Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Installation, programming, troubleshooting hardware and software packages; TCP/IP end-device networking; CCTV installation experience(CISCO); Familiarity with key card access system such as Millenium; Copper Ethernet wiring and low-voltage wiring installation experience; Database Queries (SQL); Experience writing technical documentation. The successful candidate should work well under pressure, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to work collegially and effectively in a team environment.
